 POTS’ Mission Statement 
The mission of Part of the Solution (POTS) is to be a loving communityin the Bronx that nourishes the basic needs and hungers of all who come to our door.
POTS’ vision is to serve as a needs-driven organization, using resources, referrals and networks to assist people in preparing for the next level of care or transition. We will nurture those who need our support during their transition from crisis to self-sufficiency. POTS will always be a supportive community where people can return for help if needed.
Founded in a Catholic tradition, our values will lead us toward reaching our mission and vision.
Community
 The POTS community includes our guests, Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and friends. This community is committed to meeting the basic human needs of all people who come to us for help. We are a community of service and a community of sharing – with help from our friends, we are a community meeting community needs.
We respect the dignity of each member of the POTS community and we approach all with a non-judgmental attitude. Every member of the POTS community is valued and appreciated.
We show unconditional love in a welcoming and generous atmosphere.
For those who seek a better quality of life, we will offer opportunities for personal growth and change.
We recognize that the circumstances surrounding poverty can result from unjust societal structures. We are a collective voice pursuing our vision for a better society.
